Why Block Parties Matter

Block parties are more than a summer activity — they help build stronger, safer, more connected neighbourhoods.

🏡 A Sense of Belonging
When neighbours gather, streets feel more welcoming and connected.

👥 Knowing Your Neighbours
Putting faces to names helps people feel more comfortable and familiar with their surroundings.

🔒 Safer, More Caring Communities
Connected neighbourhoods look out for one another.

🎉 Shared Traditions
Block parties often become annual gatherings people look forward to year after year.

🤝 Stronger Community Ties
Meeting your neighbours can lead to shared support, skills, and friendships beyond the event itself.

Strong neighbourhoods don’t happen by accident — they grow when people come together.

Block Party Registration

Thank you for your interest in registering a block party. A block party is considered a gathering of neighbours on your residential block. Large events that require road closures are considered special events and follow different guidelines.
