Help us plan for a vibrant future with Leduc’s Housing Strategy

“We want to build a city where everyone can thrive, and to do that we need to have housing options,” says Teaka Broughm, City of Leduc Director of Planning and Economic Development. “We look forward to hearing from the community so that we can better understand housing challenges and focus the strategy on housing options that will meet our unique needs now and into the future.”

To provide feedback, complete the online survey or paper survey (available at Leduc Civic Centre, Leduc Public Library, Leduc and District Senior Centre and the Leduc Recreation Centre) by Feb. 26, 2024.

Leduc’s Housing Strategy will:

• Identify current and future housing needs of the community.
• Identify ways to address these needs through action.
• Create a framework to help prioritize and guide partnership and investment opportunities to produce innovative housing solutions.

About housing in Leduc:

• Since 2008, the city has grown by more than 15,000 people.
• Nearly 30 percent of all dwellings within the city (close to 4,000 units) have been constructed since 2011.
• 63.2 per cent of houses in Leduc are single detached homes while semi-detached, townhomes and apartments mostly make up the rest.
