The City of Leduc has launched a new Open Data Portal, providing residents, businesses, developers, researchers and industry partners with online access to select municipal datasets.

Available at Leduc Open Data Portal, the portal offers self-service access to information related to storm, water and sanitary utilities, infrastructure, and environmental data. Information is available in a standardized, searchable digital format, making it easier for users to find and use municipal data.

“Providing easier access to municipal information supports transparency, encourages innovation and helps people better understand their community,” said Lars Hansen, Mayor of the City of Leduc. “The portal is another step forward in modernizing how we share information and support informed decision-making.”

The portal has been designed to serve a wide range of users and interests. Residents can explore data related to community growth and infrastructure.

The portal also creates opportunities for students, researchers, developers and businesses to use publicly available datasets for research projects, educational purposes and the development of new tools, applications and services.

By making commonly requested information more accessible, the City aims to improve customer service and reduce barriers to accessing municipal data.

The Open Data Portal will continue to evolve over time as additional datasets are added and updated.
