Sincerely, Leduc is an anonymous letter-writing initiative that invites residents to connect with our community’s seniors. By taking a few moments to write a letter or draw a picture, you can help reduce social isolation and strengthen the sense of belonging that keeps our community healthy and connected.
This simple act supports wellbeing across generations and our shared commitment to caring for one another.
When
- July 2: Submissions accepted at the Leduc Civic Centre and Leduc Public Library
- August 5: Letter-writing kits become available at the Leduc Public Library (first-come, first-served, available until submission deadline)
- Aug. 30: Deadline to submit letters, cards, and drawings
- Sept. 13: Letters distributed to seniors at Planeview Place in recognition of Grandparents Day
How to participate
You can take part by creating:
- A handwritten letter
- A greeting card with a kind message
- A drawing or coloured picture
- A short story or note meant to bring a smile
You’re welcome to submit more than one card or letter.
All submissions should be anonymous (no last names, contact details, or personal identifiers), though you may sign your first name only if you wish.
How to submit
Completed letters, cards, and drawings can be:
- Dropped off at the Leduc Civic Centre reception
- Dropped off at the Leduc Public Library reception
- Mailed to the City of Leduc c/o Older Adult Services Coordinator, 1 Alexandra Park, Leduc, Alta. T9E 4C4.
All submissions are reviewed before being delivered.
