The City of Leduc is now accepting applications for its Façade and Capital Enhancement (FACE) Grant Program, providing grant funding to help commercial property and business owners improve building façades within the Urban Centre.

The program supports permanent exterior improvements that enhance the appearance, accessibility and functionality of commercial properties while contributing to a more vibrant, welcoming, and pedestrian-friendly Urban Centre.

“Storefront improvements do more than enhance a building’s appearance—they create inviting spaces, strengthen local businesses and make our Urban Centre a destination people want to visit,” says Lars Hansen, Mayor of the City of Leduc. “I’m excited to see how local businesses and property owners use this program to help shape the future of our Urban Centre over the years ahead.”

Successful applicants may receive reimbursement for up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs, with funding available through three grant tiers based on property and project type:

  • Up to $5,000 for Storefront Improvements
  • Up to $15,000 for Simple Façade Improvements
  • Up to $25,000 for Comprehensive Façade Improvements

Business and property owners within the program area are encouraged to attend an information session and schedule a pre-application meeting to discuss their project, confirm eligibility, and better understand the application process.

Applications are now open and will be accepted until Jan. 6, 2027.
