The City of Leduc has been recognized by the Government of Alberta with two 2026 Minister’s Awards for Municipal Excellence, highlighting innovative projects that strengthen the community through strategic infrastructure investment and collaborative partnerships.

The City received awards in the following categories for municipalities serving populations over 10,000:

  • Building Economic Strength: 65th Avenue Interchange
  • Partnerships: Project Street Light

“These awards reflect our steadfast commitment to building a strong, safe and connected city and region,” says Mayor Lars Hansen, City of Leduc. “Both of these projects will support Leduc’s continued growth and are a testament to what can be accomplished through strong collaboration and long-term planning.”
