As construction season gets underway, residents will see increased activity across the city. Crews will begin work on 18 infrastructure projects this year designed to keep the community safe, maintain essential services, and plan for future growth. Investing in timely repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance extends the life of roads, utilities, and public spaces while helping avoid more costly work in the future.

“Construction season is an important time for our community. These projects are about more than what you see today—they’re about making smart investments that support safety, reliability, and long-term growth.”

Lars Hansen
Mayor of the City of Leduc

Residents are reminded to stay alert in construction zones and follow all posted signage. Slowing down and giving crews the space they need helps ensure everyone gets home safely. Local businesses along construction routes remain open, and residents are encouraged to continue supporting them throughout the season.
