Leduc City Council recently approved essential repairs to the street feature section of the Leduc Skate Park to address immediate safety concerns and support continued use of the space.

While maintenance work occurs, planning will begin this year for a new all-wheel facility to replace the current park. The goal is to keep the community riding safely now, while building toward a modern space for the future.

What Leduc Skate Park users can expect:

  • The street feature section will remain open.
  • The bowl feature will be closed indefinitely.
  • Essential repairs will take place this summer while minimizing disruptions.
  • Safety signage will be posted on site to highlight potential risks.

Information about public engagement and the design of a new facility will be shared as it becomes available.

Funding for design and construction of the new all-wheel facility will be considered as part of 2027 budget discussions later this year.

Council’s decision reflects feedback from the local skate community, who expressed strong interest in keeping a skate park in Leduc, as well as findings from the Leduc Skatepark Conditions Assessment and Feasibility completed in summer 2025.
