The City of Leduc is celebrating the official completion of the 65 Avenue and QEII Interchange. The interchange unlocks the Leduc Landing Business Park, and the east-west corridor with enhanced connection between industrial areas, major highways and Edmonton International Airport.

“The 65 Avenue and QEII Interchange is a game changer for our region. It will play a pivotal role in supporting economic growth and improving mobility throughout the region,” says Mayor Lars Hansen. “We are so appreciative of everyone’s efforts involved in the project and want to especially thank our residents and business for their patience during the construction.”

The completion of the project opens up vast economic opportunities for the Leduc region. The enhanced corridor expediates the transportation of goods through the “last mile” of the supply chain. This in turn increases the potential movement of time sensitive commodities globally.

“The opening of the QEII and 65 Avenue Interchange represents a pivotal advancement in strengthening Canada’s intermodal transportation network. This connection enhances the integration of air, road, and logistics infrastructure at Edmonton International Airport, improving the efficiency and resilience of regional and national supply chains. It is a strategic investment that supports trade competitiveness, facilitates the movement of goods and people, and reinforces the critical role our region plays within Canada’s broader transportation system.”

President & CEO, Edmonton International Airport
