The City of Leduc Youth Council recently presented its 2026 annual update to City Council, highlighting a year of growth and an ambitious path forward for youth engagement in the community.
Youth Council provides a meaningful forum for young people aged 16 to 22 to participate in local government — researching, advising, and planning actions that make a difference in Leduc.
Youth’s Council’s work is guided by a vision of a Safe and Environmentally Sustainable Future Forward. It is grounded in values of community connection, diversity and inclusion, sense of belonging and youth engagement.
Youth Council’s three strategic priorities are:
- Understanding the needs of youth in Leduc
- Bringing youth perspectives to City Council
- Promoting volunteerism in the community
