Pet owners encouraged to provide feedback on the dog park this summer
The Deer Valley temporary off-leash dog park opened for its second pilot season on May 15. The park will remain open until the fall, giving Leduc pet owners another opportunity to use the facility and share their thoughts on the possibility of the amenity becoming permanent.
The off-leash dog park is located at the north end of Grant McEwan Blvd., next to the Deer Valley Community Gardens, and will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts of the Deer Valley off-leash dog park with the City through an online survey or by using a QR code on one of the poster boards on-site. The feedback received will be presented to Leduc City Council later this year.
Pet owners are required to follow the City’s responsible pet ownerships rules while visiting off-leash parks and must clean up after their dogs.
Leduc also has three other dog parks: The K-9 off-leash dog park, Barclay Park off-leash dog park, and Outlook Park.
