City launches ‘Love Your Leduc’ economic recovery campaign
The City of Leduc's COVID-19 Economic Support and Recovery Task Force has launched a 'Love Your Leduc' campaign, aimed at promoting growth in the local economy and encouraging residents to show their support for local businesses.
“Our local business sector is an integral part of life in our city and they contribute so much to making Leduc such a great place to live, work and play,” says Leduc Mayor Bob Young. “We are very pleased to be able to offer them some practical, meaningful support in kickstarting their recovery as the relaunch of our provincial economy continues throughout the pandemic.”
The ‘Love Your Leduc’ campaign aims to motivate residents to support local businesses in a variety of ways, as well as provide opportunities for business owners in Leduc to promote their services to the community. It will include the creation of a virtual database of businesses open in our city, as well as an online contest that will incentivize residents to show support for their favourite local businesses.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has been an extremely trying time for all of us, and right now our local business community needs us more than ever before,” says Young. “These local businesses support us all year and make such vital and significant contributions to our community. I urge all residents to do what they can to support local and give back to these companies who give so much to us all.”
