Social Supports

FCSS offers a variety of social support services and access to assistance programs for Leduc residents of all ages and walks of life.

Child and Youth Support

FCSS engages children and youth in Leduc in healthy activities and works one-on-one with them to increase their assets and connection to the community.   

Adult and Family Support

FCSS works directly with families and individuals to help them access resources and develop skills and strategies in response to life struggles.

Older Adult Support

The Older Adult Support program is designed to provide information on services, programs and for older adults and families caring for older adults in Leduc.

Bullying

If you are experiencing bullying, FCSS is here to help you.  You are not alone, and FCSS can connect you to the services that you need.

Family Violence

FCSS is a member of the Leduc and District Family Violence Prevention Team – a partnership between several local agencies that aims to provide family violence education, awareness, and prevention initiatives around the region.

Individual Adult Support

The Individual Adult Support Program provides assistance to adult individuals and couples (20+) without children within the City of Leduc. 

Volunteer Income Tax Program

Canada Revenue trains volunteers recruited by FCSS to prepare tax returns. This program was created to help low income individuals and seniors complete their income tax return at no cost.

LGBTQ2S+ Initiatives

FCSS is an LGBTQ2S+ friendly space and we offer supports for LGBTQ2S+ youth, adults and families. 

Subsidized Transit Passes

Leduc Transit Services has partnered with the Government of Alberta to provide residents subsidized transit passes (LTS & LATS) (50% off monthly passes) for those who qualify. 

Please contact FCSS to book a MANDATORY intake meeting where they will confirm your eligibility, which needs to be done before purchasing a pass. To book an intake meeting, call FCSS at 780-980-7109.

To qualify for any of the City of Leduc's Social Support Services, you must: 

  • Be a City of Leduc resident
  • Prove household income meets LICO as confirmed by income/bank statement
