City looks for input from local business community

Monday, October 23, 2023

The City will conduct a Business Retention and Expansion survey from Oct. 30 to Nov. 20 to better understand the plans and needs of local businesses, and how owners/managers view our community as a place to do business.

The survey will be facilitated by Deloitte LLP on the City’s behalf and will be conducted by email and phone. Businesses will be randomly selected to participate starting the week of Oct. 30. Other local businesses wishing to participate can contact the City’s Economic Development Team for information on how they can provide input. It should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

“Local businesses are the lifeblood of our community, and it is very important to us that they be successful and feel supported,” says Tara de Munnik, Economic Development Manager at the City of Leduc. “This is an opportunity to learn what’s going well and where we can improve so that we can put strategies in place to meet business needs.”

Survey results will be reviewed for challenges and opportunities that the local business community is facing. Aggregate results will be shared with the community in early 2024 and will be used to plan future economic development activities focused on the top priorities of local business.
