Friday, October 6, 2023

Today, the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Official Languages, and Mayor Bob Young announced a federal investment of $205,431 to support upgrades to the Leduc Civic Centre and the annual tree purchase in our city.

These funds will improve public spaces for Leduc residents and visitors and support our environment by:

  • Purchasing new trees to replace those lost to disease and pests; providing a healthier outdoor environment and beautifying Leduc’s natural spaces for people to enjoy year-round.

  • Upgrading the Leduc Civic Centre to improve air flow and provide better control of room temperature. These improvements will increase the building’s efficiency and create a safer and more welcoming place for workers and visitors.
