Nov. 21, 2018	Complete for 2018	Construction is finished for 2018. All roads south of 53 Ave have been restored to maintainable surface for winter. Construction will resume in May/ June of 2019.
Nov. 14, 2018	In Progress	The last section of 45A Ave. is being excavated and subgrade stabilization is expected to happen this week. Gravel will be placed at the end of the week, weather permitting. Crews will then focus on cleaning the site and preparing it for winter. Topsoil will be placed to fill boulevards, but trees and sod will not be planted until the spring.
Nov. 7, 2018	In Progress	All concrete work scheduled for 2018 is complete. 45A St. from 53 Ave. to 50 m south of 52 Ave. has been reconstructed to gravel and will be opened next week. Remaining portions of 45A St. will be removed after the long weekend. Weather permitting, all roads are anticipated to be opened by the end of next week. Remaining gravel along 51 Ave. is being placed to allow for access to driveways. Landscaping along 53 Ave. is complete for 2018, and dependent upon weather, topsoil will be placed next week - sod and trees will be planted in 2019.
Oct. 25, 2018	In Progress	53 Avenue between 46 Street and 45 Street is being paved today. Landscaping along 53 Avenue has begun, sod and boulevard trees will be planted in the next two weeks. Driveway tie-ins and remaining sidewalks on 53 Ave will be completed following the pavement and should be done by next week. 51 Avenue has been graveled and the road is open for overnight parking, however, please ensure vehicles are moved during the day to allow work to progress. As the weather has been holding out we are proceeding with concrete this year and will be pouring sidewalks and curbs this Saturday. Once sidewalks and curbs are completed on 51 Avenue, we will be completing driveway tie-ins and preparing the gravel for winter. Underground crews are completing storm water catch basins on 52 Avenue and 45A Street today and will be moving to 51 Avenue and 45A Street tomorrow. Once the underground crews have moved, our surface contractor will begin removing 45A Street.
Oct. 16, 2018	In Progress	Concrete is expected to be completed along 53 Avenue by the middle of next week. Asphalt is expected to be placed on 45 Street and on 53 Ave, east of 45 Street starting this Friday. 45A Street and the remaining section of 53 Avenue will be paved next within the next two weeks. Once pavement has been completed, we will be placing topsoil within the boulavards however sod and trees will likely be held off until 2019 depending on supply. Our surface contractor has made great progress on 51 Avenue and we should be stabilizing and graveling 51 Ave later this week. Crews will then begin work on 45A Street between 51 and 53 Ave. Our underground contractor is currently finishing up the storm sewer installation at 45A St and 52 Ave and will be moving down to 45A St and 51 Ave to complete their remaining work for 2018.
Oct. 2, 2018	In Progress	Due to deterioration of existing road south of 53 Ave., the city will be advancing work scheduled for 2019 into 2018. 45A St. and 51 Ave will be excavated, stabilized and graveled prior to winter to provide a safe and maintainable driving surface. Due to limited time and weather, concrete and asphalt will not be poured until construction resumes in 2019. The city will maintain the gravel road throughout winter. Advancing this work to 2018 will reduce the time needed to complete work in 2019. Driveway access will be lost during construction, but will be restored once graveling is complete. Residents adjacent to the road were provide notice of this change on Oct. 2, 2018.
Oct. 2, 2018	In Progress	53 Ave is graveled and remaining work on sidewalks and curbs is being finished. Pavement is expected within the next two weeks, weather dependent. Water main testing is complete and removal of temporary services has begun. Replacement of manholes is complete south of 53 Ave., and new storm water line is being installed on 53 Ave. Once complete, work will begin on storm line in the intersection of 51 Ave and 45A St.
Sept. 26, 2018	In Progress	Remaining repairs along water main are being completed for pressure tests. Temporary water lines will be removed once testing finishes. Crews are working to complete curbs and separate walks along 53 Ave, and subgrade of remainder of 53 Ave is being stabilized. Weather dependent, this section of road will be graveled next week to prepare for concrete. Once 53 Ave and all unground work south of the street is finished, focus will be on restoring the road.
Sept. 19, 2018	In Progress	Concrete crew is working on walks and curbs along 53 Ave east of 45 St. Gravel has been placed along 53 St between 45A and 45 St. Removal of road west of 45A St to 46 St has begun - this is the last remaining road for the 2018 construction season. Installation of new storm fallouts on 45A St is being completed. Once finished, road south of 53 Ave will be restored for winter.
Sept. 12, 2018	In Progress	Landscaping along 54 Ave. is complete. Multiway along 53 Ave. E is also complete. 53 Ave. between 45A St. and 45 St. has been excavated and stabilized, and gravel placement will happen when weather turns around. Underground contractor has completed a majority of watermain installation south of 53 Ave., the last connections will happen next week.
Aug. 30, 2018	In Progress	Sod and planting of city boulevard trees along 54 Ave. is almost complete. The 53 Ave. turnaround has been stabilized, and crews are working on multiway and curb along 53 Ave. Next week, crews will begin removing separate sidewalk along 53 Ave. east of 45 St. and the remaining portion of 45 St. The underground contractor is working on watermain installation along 51 Ave. including connection into watermain under 46 St. - this work has been coordinated with watermain repairs currently happening in the area to reduce future closure on the street.
Aug. 23, 2018	In Progress	Landscaping along 54 Ave. has begun. 53 Ave. has been excavated from 43 St. to 45 St. and is expected to be graveled by the weekend, weather dependent. The remaining portion of 54 St. will be excavated next week before moving onto sidewalk removal on 53 Ave. east of 45 St. Underground contractor is currently replacing watermain on 51 Ave. from 45A St. to 46 St., work is expected to take two weeks and then manhole repairs and catchbasin replacements will start. Fortis Alberta will be on 54 Ave. during the next few weeks to reinstall streetlight. Separate from this work, a watermain leak has been identified on 51. Ave - repairs begin Monday, Aug. 26 and will require modifications to traffic flow in the area. Although this work is not part of the project, crews will be taking this opportunity to finish parts of other required watermain work.
Aug. 9, 2018	In Progress	54 Ave. was paved on Aug. 7. Fortis is working to relocate power poles. Underground contractor has completed work along 53 Ave. and is currently working on watermain replacement along 45A St. south of 53 Ave. The road contractor will begin working on 53 Ave. during the week of Aug. 13.
July 31, 2018	In Progress	Final lift of gravel is being placed on 54 Ave. to prepare for asphalt expected end of the week, weather dependent. Fortis Alberta's contractor is working to remove several power poles in area of construction - once removed, concrete and paving on 45 & 45A St. can be completed. Removal of 53 Ave (east side of road) and watermain replacement along 45A St (south of 53 Ave.) is scheduled for next week.
July 18, 2018	In Progress	Finishing sidewalks, curbs and gutters along 54 Ave and north portions of 45 and 45 A St. Paving is scheduled to begin Aug. 3, weather dependent. Remainder of watermain replacement on 53 Ave. will take place this week. Manhole and catch basin work will be completed prior to roadway removal along 53 Ave., which is scheduled to start Aug. 7.
July 11, 2018	In progress	Gravel along 54 Ave and 45 St, north of the alley, has been completed. 45A St is being removed and is expected to be graveled by the weekend, weather dependent. A string line has been laid along 54 Ave. in preparation for work on concrete sidewalks scheduled to begin this weekend. Once hydrant replacement at 53 Ave and 45 St is complete, watermain replacement will continue along 53 Ave west of 45 St.
July 4, 2018	In progress	54 Ave between 56 at 45A St is being excavated. Cement stabilization and gravel is expected early next week depending on weather. Watermain replacement along 53 St is still underway and is approaching 45 St moving westbound.
June 29, 2018	In progress	54 Ave between 56 and 45A St has been stabilized and gravel is being placed today in order to allow for access and on street parking over the long weekend. Driveway access will not be provided until the street has been paved in late July.
June 28, 2018	In progress	54 Ave between 46 and 54A St has been removed to subgrade. The subgrade will be stabilized this week with gravel expected next week. Temporary parking will be permitted overnight once gravel has been placed and packed.
June 20, 2018	In progress	Underground replacements on 54 Ave have been completed. Road construction on 54 Ave (46 to 45A St.) will start later this week with full road excavation taking place next week. Underground replacement along 53 Ave. will begin next week with excavation starting on the east side of 53 Ave, working west.
June 15, 2018	In progress	Watermain replacement on 54 Ave has been completed and will be pressure tested prior to temporary water being removed. Crews are currently working on manhole and hydrant replacements along 54 Ave and 45 St.
June 7, 2018	In progress	Watermain replacement on 54 Ave will be completed next week. Next, crews will begin work on manholes and hydrant replacements. Road work to begin on 54 Ave the week of June 20. Temporary water is being set up along 53 Ave in preparation for the 53 Ave watermain replacement (once 54 Ave has been completed)
May 31, 2018	In progress	54 Ave. between 46 and 45A St. was closed on May 28 for underground installation. Watermain replacement has begun and the first new fire hydrant is currently being installed.
May 14, 2018	In progress	Temporary water service set-up has begun to ensure affected residents along 54 Ave. will have service while the 54 Ave. watermain is replaced. Presence of construction personnel in the neighbourhood will increase into next week as excavation for watermain replacement begins.
April 27, 2018	Scheduled	General construction notices delivered to affected residents. Underground construction to begin May 14 on 54 Ave. Road construction and full road closure (estimated: one week) to begin early June on 54 Ave.
March 2018	Scheduled	Tree removal completed by contractor. Project to commence in summer 2018.
