Leduc Youth Council

Leduc Youth Council provides the opportunity for young people ages 16 to 22 to participate in local government by researching, advising, proposing and planning actions in the community to Leduc City Council.

As community leaders, youth council hosts events and programs each year designed to support their key priorities. In 2024, Leduc Youth Council is offering the following programs:

  • Youth Ambassadors*
  • Youth Week in Leduc
  • Youth Talent Showcase
  • Youth Wellness Symposium

*Youth Ambassadors are Leduc youth ages 13-15 who are interested in making positive changes in their community through volunteering and providing their insights to Youth Council. Learn more about becoming a Youth Ambassador.

Leduc Youth Council is a group of 13 young people, along with a city council appointment, assisted by a city administrative liaison through Family and Community Support Services. Annual recruitment takes place each October to appoint a new youth council for January. If interested, please watch for these opportunities come available this fall.
